Gridiron Legends Golf Tournament & D.L. Meacham
D.L. Meacham was proud to be a top sponsor of the 2019 Gridiron Legends Golf Tournament that raised a record amount for DePelchin Children’s Center. There was also an opportunity to interact with some Texas sports legends like Vince Young, Andre Ware, Kenny Houston and Dan Pastorini as well as play a round of golf.
The real hole-in-one scored that day was helping the DePelchin Children’s Center, a foster care and adoption agency that is working to break the cycles of abuse and neglect.
Gridiron Legends Golf Tournament History
The Gridiron Legends Golf Tournament presented by Academy Sports + Outdoors provides a rare opportunity to golf with some of the most notable names in Texas sports history at the storied Champions Golf Club, founded by golf legends Jack Burke, Jr. and the late Jimmy Demaret.
Proceeds from the tournament directly benefit DePelchin Children’s Center, the official charitable beneficiary of the Academy Sports + Outdoors Texas Bowl. Since the inception of the bowl game in 2006, over $1.6 million has been raised to help DePelchin provide support through foster and adoption services to children and families throughout Texas.
